Wednesday, June 10th, 2009Jacaranda FM contacted Reynard Botha and asked him to bring his KITT replica to Monte Casino as a surprise to David. Here is his story:
Last week was very busy for me as I was trying to get my car and myself ready to meet the Hoff. Yes the real Michael Knight. err David Hasselhoff.
JacarandFM contacted me and asked my if I can bring KITT to Monte Casino as a surprise to David while visiting SA to sing a Duet with Patricia Lewis an old friend and ex-girl friend to David. The schedule was jumped by a few months in order for the song to be completed before Patricia is to be operated for tumors on the thyroid, and operation that might render the blond super voice of South Africa quite forever. Well I certainly hope not, I wish Patricia all of the best for the operation.
Well back to the Hoff. What a nice guy, looking back on track with his life and a pleasant celeb to meet. He chatted with me about my car and told e about his own. He played out a little scene with my KITT in the car and signed my car and my owners manual that I wrote for the car. He posed for some pictures with me and also did a host of other interviews for the event, he then sang a song on stage and also did a round of signatures for the crowds.
He posted a ton of pictures of his time with the Hoff and shows off his awesome KITT replica.

Actor and adventurer extraordinaire – David Hasselhoff – came to Shark Park to campaign for an end to shark finning with the http://www.underwaterchannel.tv/ . Nicholoas Claxton is the man behind the http://www.underwaterchannel.tv/ and he put the whole programme together at incredibly short notice. David’s time at Shark Park was nothing short of amazing with the team having ten tiger sharks, half a dozen raggies and well over one hundred blacktips over the three days. the visibility was excellent and the water a balmy 24 degrees celsius. The weather played its part and hopefully David’s message will be well received around the world.
For those fans wanting to know what he was like both in the water and out:He was amazing and a natural. Shark Park was filled with fans of the “Hoff” and he didn’t dissappoint, signing autographs for each and every one despite a hectic schedule.A huge debt of gratitude from all of us at Blue Wilderness to “The Hoff” for giving sharks a chance!!!!

David’s and Patricia Lewis’s duet will be tomorrow on air on South African radio station Jacaranda 94.2. David and Patricia will be present the duet on the Show ” “The Afternoon Drive” from 5pm to 6pm.
David on Tubridy Tonight
Monday, June 1st, 2009David talked about his time in Dublin and at Tubridy Tonight, and even posted a behind the scenes video of him singing Unchain My Heart.
Had a blast on the show last night. Everyone at the show was great, the audience were super cool and Tubs and I had some great craic… I wish him all the best for his new show and I will hopefully be back in Dublin soon. Just went out for a jog down the canal and looking forward to our next destination – Johannesburg!!!
Anyway, i am sure you will be able to catch the show from last night on youTube or something but here is some very special behind the scenes footage of me doing Unchain My Heart for the audience after the show had finished. Enjoy…
