LOS ANGELES – MX Digital, a game developer co-owned by Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television (BHE TV) announced the upcoming launch of “The Hoff” series of games, starring pop culture icon and celebrity David Hasselhoff. The game is slated for a Valentine’s Day release online in the UK, with Hasselhoff appearing at promotional events and interviews in London. “We’re scheduled to do a meet and greet with players, and stream a live video interview on Facebook, Friday, 8 February,” noted Mr. Hasselhoff.
“We’re very excited about Mr. Hasselhoff joining our catalog of celebrity and branded content,” says Eric Bischoff, co-founder of BHE TV. “David is a perfect example of MX Digital Gaming’s strategy of identifying relevant brands and introducing them to the market within unique, cutting edge games.”
Established in 2008, MX Digital is a leading developer of interactive. With offices in Los Angeles, Buenos Aries, and Miami, MX develops and distributes games in more than 20 countries. With a heavy focus on proven brands, they are industry-leaders in game design, game marketing and promotion. “The Hoff” games are produced in coordination with London-based OpenBet, a leading games-platform and distributor reaching an audience of more than 25 million players in the UK alone.
The majority of industry analysts anticipate significant near-term growth for online gambling, both in the United States and worldwide, with growth rates of 40% per year already common in Europe. Globally, the sector is currently worth an estimated $380 billion per year.
“The response ‘The Hoff’ has gotten in the marketplace has been phenomenal. Our pre-sales and distribution agreements have exceeded all our expectations. We originally planned to launch a single game, but ended up creating several spinoffs,” added MX Digital’s Director of Business, Ike McFadden.
“Hasselhoff has a unique appeal to our audience, and his active participation in the game and the marketing has been a real differentiator for us. In addition to the game, he’s worked with us to produce exclusive songs and music videos to promote the project. ‘The Hoff’ looks likely to be one of the most widely-distributed games in the sector for this year,” added McFadden.
In the past 12 months, the market for social gambling games has doubled to $1.6 billion worldwide, making it one of the fastest growing social game genres. Today it accounts for almost a quarter of total social gaming revenue globally.2
Immediately following the European release, a social-media version of “The Hoff” will hit Facebook.

David Hasselhoff still feels a connection with the younger generation, even though his popular TV series “Baywatch” has been off the air for more than a decade.
“When Justin Bieber comes up and goes, ‘Hoff!’ and then Selena Gomez says, ‘It’s so weird he loves you,’ it’s great. It just means that you’re hip and it’s cool,” the 60-year-old actor said.
“Baywatch” aired from 1989 to 2000. Hasselhoff also starred in the TV series “Knight Rider,” which aired from 1982 to 1986.
To stay part of the conversation, Hasselhoff keeps busy and is always working. He recently starred in a Lifetime movie, “The Christmas Consultant,” opposite Caroline Rhea.
Hasselhoff talks about his various projects, his famous name and his hopes for a retro “Knight Rider” movie.
AP: Q. Would you ever want to do a full-time TV series again?
Hasselhoff: A. It depends what the series would be. I’ve been approached by some dear friends who run “The Office” and “Ugly Betty” about doing a sitcom, being a part of an ensemble. I’d love to do that. I’d love to bring back more than anything kind of like “Murder, She Wrote,” or there’s a great show in the U.K. called “Lovejoy,” or “Hart to Hart.” Some shows that have got some fun, a little tongue-and-cheek like Cary Grant, and play my age but still know that secretly (the character) is livin’ hard, livin’ fast and lovin’ it because that’s kind of where I’m at in my life.
AP: You can act, sing, perform on the stage and judge talent competitions. Why do you like variety?
Hasselhoff: I embrace everything. All I want to do is be onstage. A performer needs to perform. You need to work. I think that’s why I’ve lasted so long. I grew up watching “The Carol Burnett Show.” … People are now beginning to see that I do variety. I do sing. I did do Broadway and the West End.
AP: I’m sure you get a ton of offers. What do you say no to?
Hasselhoff: I say no to things that I can’t laugh with, where they’re laughing at me, and they’re trying to do something that is a little bit over-the-edge. If you don’t respect me, you’re not gonna get that respect back.
AP: Does it ever amaze you how your last name is so popular?
Hasselhoff: I think God has a sense of humor because they wanted me to change it. I was going to change it one time to David Michaels, but then I found out there was already a David Michaels. I took so much heat for the name Hasselhoff growing up, I’m gonna keep this name because I was proud of my parents. It’s kind of pathetic because Hasselhoff has turned into The Hoff and The Hoff is keeping Hasselhoff out of work but The Hoff’s paying the bills so I welcome The Hoff.
AP: There’s a “Knight Rider” movie in development. What can you say about it?
Hasselhoff: If you make the “Knight Rider” movie and you don’t make it retro and you don’t appeal to all the people that love the show, that grew up with it. If you don’t, it’s not gonna be “Knight Rider.” It will probably be a hit because “Knight Rider” is a great title, but it won’t be “Knight Rider.” It’s in the hands of a company, and hopefully I’ll meet with them and we’ll see what direction it’s going in.

ITV was there and interviewed David about his appearance at the NEC, his favorite role and his time on Britain’s Got Talent.
When asked if he had any plans to retire, he says, “Never,” then continues, “There’s so many rivers left to ride and so many mountains left to climb.”

Actor David Hasselhoff has taken time out from performing to enjoy a night at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
The Baywatch and Knight Rider star met musicians from The Royal Regiment of Scotland before the show on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle.
The actor, known as The Hoff, also surprised members of the audience when he went to meet them in one of the stands. He was attending the performance with his partner Hayley Roberts.
He is in the city for his Fringe show An Evening With David Hasselhoff Live, on at the Pleasance Courtyard.
Tickets have sold out for the Tattoo, now in its 63rd year.
This year’s event features around 1,000 pipers, drummers and other musicians and is celebrating 60 years of the Queen’s reign with a Diamond Jubilee theme.
Military bands from countries including Australia, Switzerland, Norway, Canada and the US are performing during a three-week run which ends on Saturday.

The Hoff, as the kids call him, is poised to debut his West End show tonight yes, tonight) and prior to its release we had a little chitty-chat with him about what we could expect from it.
But, being the lovely person that he is, the Hoff – who’s imaginatively titled play is called David Hasselhoff Live and is all about his life – went one step better than that by performing a number from the actual show for us. Ain’t that nice?
So if you’ve got a minute or two this afternoon (let’s face it – you do) have a ganders at our interview with The Hoff (he lets us call him that now you know) and watch him sing his little heart out as well.
David was on “This Morning” in the UK today to talk about his upcoming concert, “David Hasselhoff Live.”
Listed in The Guinness Book of World Records as ‘the most watched TV star in the world’ thanks to starring roles in both Knight Rider and Baywatch, David Hasselhoff is now inviting us to spend an intimate evening with him as he brings his show to the UK. Promising to deliver a night of song, dance, and laughter, David will be offering the audience a hilarious behind-the-scenes look at his life.
He joined “This Morning” to tell them more about a show that regards audience participation as compulsory.
David was surprised when Donny Osmond invaded the set and demanded his autograph during the live TV interview.
The Baywatch legend made an appearance on British chat show This Morning and was discussing plans for a movie version of his hit 1990s TV drama when fellow guest Osmond ran into shot.
Osmond leaped onto the sofa where Hasselhoff was sitting, put his head in the actor’s lap and said, “Will you sign my hand?”
Hasselhoff was happy to join in the prank, pretending to autograph Osmond’s digits before performing a mock heart-resuscitation on him.
The bizarre stunt left Hasselhoff looking bewildered, as Osmond walked off the set, telling him, “I love you, man.”
