The Hoff stops for lunch at M5 services near Bristol

Customers and staff were stunned to see the TV star stroll into the motorway service station at Portbury at around midday yesterday.The star, famed for his roles in hit US shows Baywatch and Knight Rider and who is now a judge on America's Got Talent, walked into the Kentucky Fried Chickenrestaurant and ordered a spot of lunch.
Mr Hasselhoff, who was wearing a cream shirt, jeans and sunglasses, was accompanied by two men, one of whom was believed to be his minder.The trio collected their food and then sat in the quiet area of the restaurant, signalling to staff they did not want to be disturbed while they ate.When they had finished their meal, Mr Hasselhoff – affectionately known as "The Hoff" to his fans - spoke to customers and staff and signed autographs and posed for pictures.Staff at the services said Mr Hasselhoff seemed in a jovial mood and handed out signed photographs with the words "keep smiling" written on the back.He then visited the WHSmith store in the services before leaving with his entourage.It is understood Mr Hasselhoff, 56, had been filming in Devon for the last three days and was returning to London when he stopped for a break.No one at the services was able to officially comment about the visit by the superstar, but one staff member said: "There was a real buzz in the building when he walked in."A lot of people were quite shocked to see him. He looked every inch the superstar."Celebrities previously spotted at Gordano services include husband and wife comics Lenny Henry and Dawn French, Girls Aloud, Fern Britton and her husband Phil Vickery, Rick Mayall, Bob Geldof and Paul Young.Footballer turned TV presenter Gary Lineker is believed to have stopped in for a break last week.
