Dave Commissions New Show Hoff the Record

David HasselhoffIf the headline wasn't confusing enough, there's a UK-based television network called "Dave" and they have just commissioned six 30-minute episodes of the semi-improvised sitcom, Hoff The Record. The show is shot in a documentary style and centers on the life of Hoff, a fictionalized version of Hasselhoff, 30 years after rising to fame on Knight Rider. The plot concerns the Knight Rider star moving to get his ‘surreal’ life back on track, after five divorces and ‘some misguided career decisions’.A Dave spokesman said: ‘It is an ambitious project, blurring the lines between real life and improvisational comedy and it will be filmed in the UK, and overseas, with an ensemble cast of new and established comedy talent.’The show is set to air sometime next year in the UK.It will be executive produced by UKTV commissioning editor Iain Coyle, Hasselhoff‘s manager Eric Gardner and Me & You Productions’ Richard Yee and Krishnendu Majumdar.BBC Worldwide co-developed and co-funded the project and will take the international distribution rights.Coyle said the show was “funny, clever and bizarre - in a good way." North added, “To have The Hoff on the channel is a great coup. It cements Dave as the place to be for risk-taking comedies.”HoffArmy found this video:
